Uma estátua de bronze que comemora a sua vida como abolicionista e defensor dos direitos das mulheres ergue-se como a Porta de Entrada para o Harlem, ancorada no canto noroeste do Central Park.

Infundida com frutas e botânicos, recriámos a laranjeira da infância de Douglass para incluir bergamota suculenta, yuzu e cardamomo verde fresco, que preparam o palco para um coração de orquídea baunilha, cipreste e flor de gengibre.
